Answer to Question 1

B

Answer to Question 2

Guests who have special needs can include families, customers with disabilities, customers with communication barriers, customers with dietary restrictions, and customers who are elderly. Families with small children have special needs related to seating, smaller portion sizes, and to keeping children occupied during mealtime. Customers with disabilities include those with physical disabilities and vision and hearing impairment. Managers must train servers to address these guests' special needs. Some guests restrict their diets due to religion or other strongly held beliefs. In other cases, guests face dietary restrictions because they are allergic to specific food items. In these cases, managers and staff must take all precaution to prevent guests' allergic reactions. Elderly guests often have special needs because they may prefer to be seated in specific areas that have good lighting, are quiet, are least drafty, are warmer, or are cooler than other areas.
