Increases smooth muscle tone in the gut, inhibits motility, propulsion, and lessens secretions.

Answer to Question 2

The American Heart Association recommends an optimal blood pressure of less than 120/80 . Anything above this would be considered abnormal; the higher the level, the greater the potential problem.
