Answer to Question 1

75 cc/hr  24 hrs = 1800 cc
1800  5 = 90 g CHO
90  3.4 = 306 kcals

Answer to Question 2

136 = IBW 136  10 =1360 (rough estimation of BMR)
136  3 = 408 to 136  5 = 680 (IBW  activity/stress factor )
1360 + 408 or 680 = 1768 - 2040 kcals

Immediately post MI = stress factor of 1.5 During rehab, 1.3 . For protein, wt in kg  1.2 immediately post MI and 0.8 g/kg later.
