Answer to Question 1
A small catheter inserted through a burr hole into the anterior horn of the lateral ventricle. The catheter has a built-in transducer that translates pressure to an electrical current. High-pressure tubing is attached and goes to a manometer on which pressure changes can be directly visualized.

The American Heart Association recommends an optimal blood pressure of less than 120/80 . His BP was 144/84 which is considered elevated and could cause Mr. F harm.
