Answer to Question 1

They can be symptoms of a UTI, but also symptoms of diabetes.

Answer to Question 2

Ferrous is the oxidized form and ferric is the reduced form of iron. Both are found in plants but most iron in plants is in the ferrous form. To be absorbed, it must be in the ferric form. Acids reduce the ferrous form, including ascorbic acid, lactic acid, and the HCl found in our stomachs. Plant fibers and excessive amounts of other metals in the diet interfere with absorption.
