Cr should be among the labs you listed but it is not elevated. Give a possible explanation for this in PG's case.

Question 2

Knowing that PG is dehydrated, you should be able to predict which lab values would be elevated. List the labs that should be elevated.

Answer to Question 1

Since PG is extremely underweight, he is also deficient in protein. His lack of protein would result in a decrease in creatinine produced, thus lowering his total serum creatinine.

Answer to Question 2

Hgb, ser alb, glucose, BUN, Cr, and, possibly elevated or on the high side of normal, K, Na, and Cl.
