Explain the importance of exercise in RB's weight reduction plan. Include advice you would give RB about the elements of an exercise program, including starting a program, warming-up, duration, intensity, etc.

1 . An explanation of how exercise not only burns calories as you exert effort, but builds muscle mass, which burns more fat calories, even in the resting state.
2 . How exercise helps to increase BMR.
3 . Information on how to chose an exercise program that the individual likes, i.e. bicycling rather than walking if the person does not want to walk, or swimming if a pool is available.
4 . Importance of the program being cleared by a physician first.
5 . Importance of warming up to prevent injuries and to condition the heart.
6 . How to determine max heart rate and how to adjust duration and intensity based on heart rate.
7 . Information concerning pre-event meal, nourishment after an event if necessary, and fluid balance.
