Answer to Question 1

Hgb, Hct, Glucose, Ser Alb, Cr, and BUN were increased by dehydration because they are measured by amounts per unit volume. With hydration, the volume increases but the units remain the same. Thus, there will be less units per volume.

Answer to Question 2

Increases heart rate, irritates the stomach/GI tract, decreases blood sugar, acts as a diuretic and causes loss of fluid, water-soluble vitamins, and minerals.
