Answer to Question 1

Ser alb could be low due to decreased protein in her diet. BUN and Cr are usually considered only as an indication of renal function, but are also an indication of protein turnover. SR does not have a lot of muscle mass to turn over.

Answer to Question 2

A deficiency of B6 or Fe causes a microcytic anemia.
