Answer to Question 1

C
The primary concern in treatment of diarrhea is provision of adequate fluids to hydrate the pa-tient. After taking fluids, patients may progress to a low-fat, low-fiber, or low-lactose diet and then to a regular diet as tolerated. If possible, the cause of diarrhea may be removed, but this is not always possible and is not the first priority. A high-fiber, low-fat diet may be beneficial once the diarrhea has resolved.

Answer to Question 2

B
Feedback:
Steatorrhea is the result of fat to be sent through the gastrointestinal tract before it can be properly digested. This results in a deficiency of fat-soluble vitamins necessitating the intake of supplements.
