Answer to Question 1

2
Rationale: Dietary supplements containing vitamin K, horse chestnut, gingko, and ginseng have anticoagulation effects and can result in excessive bleeding. Clients using dietary supplements with these ingredients may not be aware of their anticoagulant properties which could present a danger. Muscle cramps, weight gain, and bone health are not related to the use of anticoagulation medications.

Answer to Question 2

C
Inflammatory bowel disease causes diarrhea and abdominal pain. Nausea and vomiting are not common because this disease affects the small and large intestine and not the stomach. Malab-sorption produces diarrhea rather than constipation. Patients are more likely to lose weight (be-cause of malabsorption) rather than gain weight. Excessive thirst is not associated with inflam-matory bowel disease.
