Answer to Question 1

D
Drinking liquids between rather than with meals can help reduce nausea. Drinking liquids only may increase nausea. Reactions to starchy, bland, and spicy foods are very individual and these foods do not necessarily decrease or increase nausea.

Answer to Question 2

Clients taking thiazide diuretics should be monitored for urinary loss of potassium and magnesium. Vitamin D loss is usually limited to interactions with anticonvulsant medications. Calcium is lost with the use of loop diuretics. Phosphate levels can decrease when clients take antacids.
