Answer to Question 1

A
Feedback:
The best type of diet is individualized to the client's preference and health status. A diet is only successful if the client follows it.

Answer to Question 2

B
When patients transition from parenteral or enteral feedings to oral feedings, it is important to make sure that they achieve adequate nutrient intakes. Hypoglycemia may develop if parenteral nutrition is discontinued too quickly, but not after stopping enteral feedings. Most patients strug-gle initially to maintain adequate oral intake, so weight gain is not a concern. Nausea and vomit-ing are not common, especially, if oral feedings are resumed gradually.
