Within the body, water helps to regulate body temperature by absorbing and distributing heat throughout the body and via perspiration. Lipids do not dissolve in water. Water does not contain energy. Nerve fibers are insulated by myelin, not water.

They are marketed to athletes to use when attempting to reduce muscle stress associated with intense exercise. However, research shows that when athletes expend a lot of energy during exercise, B-complex vitamins can be helpful to the athlete. These vitamins should be ingested through a good diet. The requirements for these vitamins are directly proportional to how much energy the athlete is expending.
