Answer to Question 1

C
If the client is not longer producing insulin, he has type 1 diabetes mellitus. Hypoglycemia is caused by erratic food intake or overproduction of insulin. Lactose intolerance is caused by ina-bility to produce the enzyme lactase, which causes failure to digest lactose in milk. In type 2 di-abetes, the pancreas still produces insulin, but the body's cells are not able to use it properly.

Answer to Question 2
