Answer to Question 1

D
The Nutrition Facts panel on a food label lists the quantities of specific key nutrients in the food and can therefore be used to compare the nutritional value of two or more products. The ingre-dients are listed elsewhere on the package, rather than in the Nutrition Facts panel. The Nutrition Facts panel does not indicate how easy the food is to prepare and does not include any informa-tion about cost or price.

Answer to Question 2

B
Feedback:
Sugar is implicated in the development of dental caries. Feeding on sugars and starches, bacteria residing in the mouth produce an acid that erodes tooth enamel. Obesity is caused by an intake of too many calories. Sugar itself is not implicated in either heart disease or diabetes mellitus but obesity is.
