Rationale: The nurse has a responsibility to plan activities that are age-appropriate. Pre-school age children have a short attention span and like bright colors. The nurse can be an effective teacher in this setting by having colorful pictures of healthy foods that children can readily identify. A computer game is not an effective strategy for this age group, nor should it be necessary to have another nurse.
