Phil and Jill are looking for a home. They like the idea of owning a home, but being free from mowing a lawn, shoveling snow, or sealing a driveway. What would you recommend to Phil and Jill?

Answer to Question 1

This response should discuss the option of a common interest community. In particular a condominium would most likely suit their needs. Condominium owners own their individual unit in fee simple and own a percentage of the common areas. There is a condominium board that handles the day to day operations of the condominium including the maintenance of the common areas, such as snow removal and landscaping. Phil and Jill may even be able to participate in the management themselves if they are members of the board.
