Luke Jacob's personal injury practice has continued to grow. However, he and his assistant waste valuable time filling out the settlement statements by hand. These statements are virtually identical in each transaction, varying only in the amounts of a fixed set of figures. How can they use technology to streamline this process?

They can create a spreadsheet template with all of the formulas and data fields prepared ahead of time. This template is saved in a bank of templates to be reused each time. The data from the template, once completed for a specific transaction, can then be transferred into the appropriate settlement statement. The data can also be transferred into other related documents needed when the case is closed, such as client letters.
