Answer to Question 2

Since the ACA's enactment, Americans have had significantly less trouble getting and paying for needed medical care. More specifically:
The number of uninsured working-age adults fell from a high of 22 percent in 2010 to 16 percent by mid-2014, with the greatest gains among blacks and Hispanics.
The number of adults who did not get needed health care because of cost declined from about 80 million (43 percent of the population) to 66 million (36 percent).
Fewer adults report that concern about cost has kept them from going to a doctor when sick; filling a prescription; having a recommended test, treatment, or follow-up visit; or seeking needed care from a specialist. However, even insured adults report delaying or avoiding needed care because of high deductibles or cost-sharing provisions in their health coverage.
Young adults realized the greatest gains in coverage of any age group. Among adults ages 18 to 25, the percentage who were uninsured decreased from 26.5 percent in 2013 to 20.4 percent in the first 9 months of 2014.
