Job satisfaction has been shown to be closely linked to turnover and absenteeism. The higher an
individual's satisfaction, the less likely it is that he or she will leave the organization. The link
between turnover and satisfaction in the foodservice industry (and presumably kitchen
employees reflect similar numbers) indicates that many employees are unhappy.
