Brain fingerprinting is a new and controversial tool in solving crimes. As a forensic method, the test assesses the subject's knowledge of a crime scene or of the instrumentalities or fruits of a crime, and it can also be used to assess knowledge of the particulars of an alibi scene or sequence of events.. Explain the potential uses of brain fingerprinting by law enforcement officers. How reliable is brain fingerprinting considered to be? Do you think there is a future for such technology in the courts, or would you expect its status in legal testimony to remain controversial, similar to that of polygraph testing?

Answer to Question 1

The potential uses of brain fingerprinting by law enforcement officers are to assess
the subject's knowledge of a crime scene or of the instrumentalities or fruits of a
crime, and it can also be used to assess knowledge of the particulars of an alibi
scene or sequence of events. Brain fingerprinting is considered to be as reliable as
chance. I would expect its status in legal testimony to remain controversial, similar
to that of polygraph testing.

Although the Roman numeral for the number 4 has always been taught to have been "IV," according to historians, the ancient Romans probably used "IIII" most of the time. This is partially backed up by the fact that early grandfather clocks displayed IIII for the number 4 instead of IV. Early clockmakers apparently thought that the IIII balanced out the VIII (used for the number 8) on the clock face and that it just looked better.
