Answer to Question 1

Answer: Answers should highlight the different ways genetics have been studied to link crime, including the study of criminal families, supermales, and twin studies. Answers should contribute to the belief that one of the major contributions of genetics to criminology is that significant research shows that criminal tendencies can be inherited.

Answer to Question 2

Answer: Answers should list and explain the central concerns with early theories, particularly the denial of free will and the issue of using biological variables to explain a social construct.
