Answer: Answer should include information on at least one of the following:
 Transferring gang members to maximum-security prisons
 Limiting inmates' access to money, which often plays a critical role in inmates' underground economy
 Placing the most violence-prone gang members in special facilities
 Developing gang intelligence
 Recruiting informers
 Observing inmates' daily routine activities to identify patterns of activities and associations of gang members

Answer to Question 2

Answer: Prisonization occurs when inmates take on the values, beliefs, and culture of a prison. This can occur from bringing in values from the outside, or learning from inmates while incarcerated.
