The B vitamins are needed for the increased metabolism, vitamins A and C are for wound healing, and zinc is needed for wound healing. Vitamin D is for the absorption of calcium and vitamin K for proper blood clotting. Iron is for blood building, calcium and phosphorus to support bone health, and other minerals for maintenance of acid-base balance and electrolyte and fluid balance.
