There is indigestion and pain that may be severe, localizes in the right upper quadrant of the epigastric area, and may radiate to the right scapular area. There is also flatulence, anorexia, nausea, vomiting, and diaphoresis. There may be a low-grade fever and elevated leukocyte count, mild jaundice, stools that contain fat, clay-colored stools, and dark amber urine.
