Answer to Question 1

Feasts serve as a method of food distribution throughout the community. They are generally observed by presenting large amounts of everyday foods and sweets of all kinds to the appropriate holy figure; all members of the community then eat the food. Feasts may be the only time that the poor get enough to eat.
