Individuals high on openness to experience will likely see their satisfaction depend on the job and specific work. For example, if the computer entry a person is doing is too routine and mundane, he or she might be less satisfied.

Answer: Job satisfaction has been studied extensively because researchers assume that satisfied employees are high-performing employees. However, research has shown the two are positively correlated, but more weakly than you would expect. Job satisfaction is partially determined by the job itself. Some people will like some jobs better than others.
