Answer to Question 1

Answer: On average, individuals high in conscientiousness will be the most satisfied because they will find meaning just doing their jobs. Individuals high in extraversion or agreeableness will also be above average in their job satisfaction because they get to interact with and help people in their jobs. Individuals high in neuroticism will probably be the least satisfied because they are not happy or satisfied people in general, and that spreads to their work. Individuals high on openness to experience will likely see their satisfaction depend on the job and specific work. For example, if the computer entry a person is doing is too routine and mundane, he or she might be less satisfied.

Answer to Question 2

Answer: Job satisfaction has been studied extensively because researchers assume that satisfied employees are high-performing employees. However, research has shown the two are positively correlated, but more weakly than you would expect. Job satisfaction is partially determined by the job itself. Some people will like some jobs better than others.
