The following clinical manifestation in a client suggests a gastrointestinal ulcer:
 a. pain is always described as a burning sensation.
  b. duodenal ulcer is usually aggravated after eating.
  c. peptic ulcer pain is usually temporarily alleviated after meals.
  d. after resolution, symptoms may recur every few weeks or months.
