Answer to Question 1

You can find information about vegetarian diets in a variety of sources such as Web resources posted by credible organizations and cookbooks that offer information about vegetarian nutrition and delicious recipes. Unfortunately, some of the information available on vegetarianism is wrong or misconstrued. Some vegetarian organizations are more committed to selling particular beliefs, memberships, or books and magazines than to promoting healthy vegetarian diets. Beware of vegetarian diets that claim to cure cancer, AIDS, or other serious illnesses, or that promise you will experience inner peace or spiritual renewal. Appropriately planned vegetarian diets are health promoting, but they are not magic bullets that will cure all the ills of body and soul.
