being.
 Dietary fiber can reduce risk of heart disease and type 2
diabetes. Proteins support immune function. Lipids are
vital to every cell in the body.
 Some vitamins are antioxidants that help protect cells
from damage.
 Obesity is a major risk factor for many chronic diseases.
Good nutritional habits can help prevent obesity and can
therefore reduce the risk of chronic disease.
