People can utilize variety in their diets. They can select fresh, frozen, or canned starchy foods in place of pre-packaged starchy foods. For example, if someone eats rice on a regular basis, they could substitute rice with freshly cooked potatoes which do not have exposure to mineral oils in food packaging. Also, foods with a higher level of fat may absorb more mineral oils than their lower fat counterparts.
