Dehydration may affect the levels of calcium and sodium that can affect the function of the nerve cells in the brain. The levels of glucose may also be altered. The levels of these electrolytes and glucose may not only be altered by their rate of transport into the brain tissue may be slowed down or altered by dehydration.
