Answer to Question 1

b

Answer to Question 2

Fructose is absorbed into the bloodstream without the use of energy. There is a limit as to how much fructose can be absorbed. Glucose is also absorbed passively into the blood stream but it uses different carrier proteins than fructose. There is not convincing evidence that the body absorbs or uses fructose differently from glucose. The liver converts fructose and galactose to glucose as well.
