The four strategies of success you should keep in mind are:
1 . Continually assess the competitive environment.
2 . Continually assess your strengths.
3 . Build organizational skills.
4 . Build managerial (people and process) skills.

Answer to Question 2

The key to managing these time wasters is to take control of them. Schedule your telephone calls for certain periods of the day, and do not accept interruptions during quiet times unless an emergency arises. Minimize interruptions from colleagues and visitors. Attend only meetings that are directly related to your work.
