Answer to Question 1

B

Answer to Question 2

Renin is released in the kidney in response to low blood pressure and causes the kidneys to reabsorb sodium. Additionally, renin is an enzyme that then hydrolyzes angiotensinogen to angiotensin I, which is then converted to angiotensin II. Angiotensin II can trigger the constriction of blood vessels and stimulate the release of aldosterone from the adrenal glands. Aldosterone then triggers the retention of sodium in the kidneys, which leads to the retention of water and the excretion of potassium.
