Answer to Question 1

C

Answer to Question 2

The prevalence of overweight and obesity in the United States continues to be high. In the past four decades, obesity increased in every state, in both genders, and across all ages, races, and educational levels. An estimated 69 percent of the adults in the United States are now considered overweight or obese, as defined by a BMI of 25-29.9, or greater than 30, respectively. The prevalence of overweight is especially high among women, the poor, blacks, and Mexican Americans. The prevalence of overweight among children in the United States has also risen at an alarming rate. An estimated 32 percent of children and adolescents aged 2-19 years are either overweight or obese.
