Answer to Question 1

B

Answer to Question 2

Large lipids are absorbed into the intestine and form chylomicrons, which travel in the lymph to the thoracic valve, where they enter the blood. The chylomicrons then travel to fat and muscle cells for storage. The liver then removes any remnants of the chylomicrons from the blood. When fats are needed, the liver forms VLDL, which can then deliver the lipids throughout the body to where they are needed. As the lipids are removed from the VLDL, the VLDL transitions to LDL, which then travels back to the liver. The liver also makes HDL, which can pick up cholesterol from the body and return it to the liver for use or excretion.

Certain triggers may cause a drug abuser to relapse. Research shows that long-term drug abuse results in significant changes in brain function that persist long after an individual stops using drugs. It is most important to realize that the same is true of not just illegal substances but alcohol and tobacco as well.
