 An enterostomal therapist is a specialized nurse that care for patients that need stomas for disorders of the gastrointestinal, genitourinary, and integumentary systems.
 This specialist will teach Ms. Watson on proper stoma care/use, dietary behaviors, tips to acclimate back into a normal lifestyle, care and prevention of sore skin (at site of stoma), and dealing with psychological factors .

 A colostomy is the surgical creation of an artificial opening (stoma) where the end of the intestine is brought out through the abdominal wall.
 The fecal output will be semi liquid or partially formed stools.
 Additionally, without the rectum/anus's function as a storage facility and regulator of bowel movements, frequency of fecal output will increase.
