 AKI patients are likely to produce <500 ml urine per day at the gfr's lowest level; these patients can develop fluid and electrolytes disorders, azotemia, wasting, especially if they are both oliguric hypercatabolic.
 It is possible that the AKI was due to his post-op hypotensive event/shock or the infection later on.
