Answer to Question 1

ANS: A
Planktonic organisms and bacteria are thought to be the candidates that collected to eventually form
petroleum. These organisms accumulated in low oxygen areas that had very few scavengers.
Information can be found in the section Physical Resources.

Answer to Question 2

ANS: B
Wind over the ocean is usually steadier than it is over land which lessens the stress put on the blades
and gears. Also, average wind speeds tend to be higher over the ocean. Information can be found in the
section Marine Energy.
