Answer to Question 1

Low density lipoprotein (LDL) is a protein that carries cholesterol from the site where it is synthesized to the rest of the body. High density lipoprotein (HDL) carries unused cholesterol to the liver where it is subject to degradation. Since build up of cholesterol in the arteries is a bad thing, LDL is bad cholesterol, and HDL is good.

Answer to Question 2

TRUE
