Answer: Answer should include descriptions of explaining overall objectives; including keywords and emphasizing them during the talk; writing key points on overhead, whiteboard, or dry erase board; adjusting the pace of the presentation; presenting schematic diagrams; stopping frequently and encouraging questions; asking students to predict what test material might be included; including errors in the lecture and asking students to try to find them.

Answer: Answer should include descriptions of the following: explaining the purpose of the listening activity, modeling and demonstrating the use of keywords and phrases, having students identify important phrases, demonstrating how certain verbal and nonverbal cues can highlight important information, using topics of interest, giving students advance organizers, giving students several questions to figure out during the talk, asking students to relate the presentation to their own knowledge, giving outlines, having student listen for missing information, segmenting the presentation into smaller parts.
