Contract security services: provide security services to other organizations for a fee.
Proprietary (in-house) security: functions within and for a parent agency, business, or institution.
Hybrid security organization: employs a permanent proprietary security staff as well as contract security personnel to supplement in-house operations.
Virtual security organization: security function integrated with entire operation or merged with another department (e.g., risk management).
