Answer to Question 1

A

Answer to Question 2

Probable Cause  The level of certainty required for law enforcement officers to make an arrest. It is generally defined as, that quantum of evidence which would lead a reasonable police officer to believe that the defendant committed a crime. It is more than a hunch or suspicion, but less than the evidence required to convict at trial. (Wisconsin Criminal Law Handbook, (2003).
