Answer to Question 1

C

Answer to Question 2

Because a probation officer works with so many different types of personalities, he or she needs to have good communications skills. A PO needs to be able to talk with a parolee without judging or coming across as if she is. She needs to relate well to everyone. The probation officer will need to listen to the people in his care. She needs to be approachable so they feel comfortable coming to her when they need to. The job of the probation officer involves overseeing a large amount of paperwork and files. She needs to know basic office and computer skills. She needs to gather information on each of her cases and organize the findings into a coherent report. The officer will need to keep track of where each probation case is in respect to court dates, paperwork needed and what each client needs to have accomplished by that date. An effective PO needs to teach, influence, and judge. The probation officer often is the main person involved in rehabilitation, which is arguably the best crime control possible.

Every flu season is different, and even healthy people can get extremely sick from the flu, as well as spread it to others. The flu season can begin as early as October and last as late as May. Every person over six months of age should get an annual flu vaccine. The vaccine cannot cause you to get influenza, but in some seasons, may not be completely able to prevent you from acquiring influenza due to changes in causative viruses. The viruses in the flu shot are killed—there is no way they can give you the flu. Minor side effects include soreness, redness, or swelling where the shot was given. It is possible to develop a slight fever, and body aches, but these are simply signs that the body is responding to the vaccine and making itself ready to fight off the influenza virus should you come in contact with it.
