A friend of yours tells you that she is going to become a playwright and make a living off that for the rest of her life. You tell her that it is very hard to make a living solely off of playwriting and that she should pursue other routes as well.

Answer to Question 1

The student could discuss the advent of electricity and it's affect on the
presentation of stage design or the invention of electric tools and machines that make
building much more feasible and, therefore, common in theatre.
