What possible misconception concerning matter might students end up with if their teacher gives them the following list as examples of matter: people, grass, birds and fish? Add three items to the list that would help clarify their misconceptions.

Answer to Question 1

The students might think all matter is living. The teacher should include some inanimate objects and vary the list to also include examples of gases and liquids; for example: rock, water, air
