Answer to Question 1

A

Answer to Question 2

On the sub-microscopic level, the particles that make up the Kool-aid are coming off of the bigger chunk as the chunk fall through the water. The evidence of this is that the chunk is getting smaller and the water is taking on the color of the Kool-aid. Though we can't see the individual particles of Kool-aid, their presence is indicated by the coloring of the water. There must be incredibly tiny Kool-aid particles intermingled with the particles of water.
